I wanted to tell everyone that they did a great job at rr sunday. We all encouraged and helped are teammates when they needed which I personally did not really see on other club/teams there at the race. I even heard a few riders say we were talking too much. Excellent job to Rich G. to hang in on that last tough climb to get 5th place. Way to go Rich. Troy and Pete did alot of work and still were able to make the top 20, which is awsome on a hot and fast day on the bike. Gavin and Rich S. managed to grit there teeth and and get in the top haif of field at the finish. Steve did a great job of staying in contact with the group and finishing strong on the last climb. Duke, Dave and Bill hammered the first climb but a little bad luck with Gavins flat set them back. Great job selflessly helping Gavin get back on to Duke and Dave guys we all appreciate the effort. I had to do alot of work to help get back on the group as well. For a first year club/race team with not a lot of riding time together or experience, I think overall we did a hell of a job and I am looking forward to the next team race. Thanks again to everyone's effort we are slowly breaking the mold. Ywaine

I want to thank you all for helping to get me back into the group. It was awesome to see Dave stop to help me out, and he was even willing to give me his back wheel so I could continue. I wish I could have placed higher for the team, but my legs were hurting on the last climb. Thanks to you all for making it a great race!!!! I hope that we can all continue to work hard and do well in future races. Let's get everyone we can out to the Picacho TT this weekend. I know it's Father's Day, but it starts early and we can be out of there early as well. Rich S. be ready to go. I am going to go for 26 mph average. That reminds me, anyone have some a good areo wheelset they want to lend out!!!! Thanks, Gavin |

It was great seeing OPV work as a team. I look forward to seeing the team continue to work together and most importantly, having fun while doing it. Cheers to everyone who supports and competes.
Gavin, I have a set of HED Jet 60mm clinchers with Mich Pro Race 2's that you can use for the TT. It has a 12-25 but I can swap it out for a 11T if you have one.

Hey guys!
Gavin - I have a set of Reynolds DV46 Carbon Clinchers with DT 190 Ceramic hubs, Michelin Krylion Carbons, and a Dura Ace 11-23 if you like. You're welcome to use.
I plan on coming out to support the team seeing as not many seem to want to ride Sunday. Let me know, call me at 940-3590.

#1(Gavin), What race are you planning on doing 20K/40K? I'm not sure yet due to I'm using Troy's TT bike. I'll be ready and planning on 26.01 mph. #2(Rich S) |

Rich S., I plan on doing the 20k. My legs just are not made for 40k at top speed. More power to those who can tolerate 40k. Dan and Rich G., I will take what I can get. I am sure anything is better than my Bontrager Select wheelset. Probably the cheapest set they could have put on the bike. I don't know much about hubs or what is best, but if it has good areodynamcis and a big gear to crank, I am there. If you all could bring the wheelsets and let me try them out, I would appreciate it. One of these days, my wife will let me buy my own. See you all there. Gavin |
