I would like to know if anyone is interested in the team tt at picacho. We need at least three riders per team but I would like to have 4 riders just in case of a mechanical. The time stops when the third rider crosses. There isn't a limit on how many teams so we can have one or more groups. This is an open 40k team tt so anyone can be paired together. The cost of the team tt will be paid by the club. I am planning on riding the 20k first because I didn't get to ride last time. I assume that the team tt will be last if so it will be hot. Please reply to this post if you want to be part of the team tt. Thanks, Ywaine Sorry I didn't make the ride today. I just got back from vacation and am still in vacation mode.

Hey Ywaine,
Sounds like fun. If there's a B or C squad, I'd like to ride a team TT. Otherwise, I'll just ride the 40k solo.
Also happy to help if the team wants to help with the race.
I'm not going to be in town for the Mt Lemmon hill climb, plan on riding the Kitt Peak climb.

| I believe you may also do a double dip if you do the team trial by doing the 20k first, if you wish but im not sure. Rich prob knows better as far as the times for doing it. |

Last year it was the 20k riders off first, then the teams, then the 40k. My guess is if you are one of the early 20k riders, you should be fine since they leave a time gap between the 20k and 40k to allow for the turnaround person to wait until the last 20k person turns around before heading out to the 40k spot. - Please check with Don to see how they plan on doing it this year since people were complaining about the late start and time gap.
I plan on doing the solo 40k so I can see where I stand since last time I didnt give it a very good effort <insert excuses here> worked start line prior, no warm up, head wind both ways, didn't taper, wrong tire pressure, no one to chase, no one was passing me, wrong breakfast, thought I saw a UFO, etc... |

Great job by all at the warm and breezy Picacho #2 TT last Sunday.
OPV was well represented in the 20km, 40km and Team TT.
Ywaine took top honors in the 35-39 mens, 20km. Rich Stevens took 3rd in the Cat5, 20km, and has thrown down the gauntlet to Gavin for the overall.... John Iron-man Boswell took 7th in the Cat5, 20km. Rich Goedel took 2nd in the Cat4, 40km, finishing just outside an hour. Troy took 4th in a strong Cat4, 40km. I finished 5th in the Cat4, 40km.
Ywaine, Rich S, and John recovered quickly from the 20km TT and teamed with Bill Roberts in the 40km team TT. I saw Bill pulling hard on the way out, was sure they were going to run me down!
Great job to all and looking forward to the next ride!

great job to everyone on sun! It was a good time. As Wayne said a little hot and windy. I was glad we were all able to make a good showing! Gotta give the day to Boswell though. After workin his butt off on the 20k then came right back into the 40k ttt. not too far into the ride he got dropped, but, he still rode to the finish solo just in case someone else had to drop off and to keep us from getting a dnf. That is dedication. Good job John! Rich, next time I can feel the sub 1hr. coming on. I changed my bike a little for more aerodynamics (lowered everything) we will see how that works next time! TB |

Good job to everyone who braved the heat to get in a little aerobic threshold work. Nice job to Troy who turned a 1:04 in his very first 40k & to Wayne for beating his previous time by 7 minutes! What time did the team turn? I didn't see any TTT times posted on the results page. Rich G |
