Who is all goin to the state hill climb on sun?
Wayne Moore had an Idea to meet at the frys on houghton and rita for a little caravan action!
Also is there anyone willing to lend a hand with support and maybe a ride down the mountain. Last year the promoters gave out about 15 water bottles to my father in law to pass out to any riders in need (all teams). We may also need xtra clothing depending on the weather.

I plan on doing the race. My wife and daughter will be coming so we can provide ride down support for one rider and can also carry anything up. She won't be able to provide mid-ride support since she will have to watch the kid. Let me know what time at Fry's and I'll plan on being there. Last year there was limited paved parking at the Prison Administration parking lot so that might be a good option for us if we can get there early (keeps the goat heads down to a min).

All

I'll be doing the hill climb.

Laura (what a sweet heart!)is going to drive. She has a Dodge Ram truck, room for 5 total (really 4, there's not much leg room in the back seat). We'll have room for at least 4 bikes (two in the bed, two on the hitch). She's going to provide mid-ride support and a lift down. WOW!!!

Total Estimated Time: 2 hours 36 minutes, Total Estimated Distance: 135.93 miles

Mapquest estimates 2.5 hours. Is arriving 0645 to 0700 adequate? That has us leaving town about 0415 to 0430.

I was thinking about the same for the time to meet. I would like to get there by 7 to get some time to warm up and I think I will have to pick up my number day of. We could meet about 415 and leave by 430 at the frys. Any objections??

Don't wait for me - I'm not sure how quickly I can get the family packed and out the door (and how many stops we will need). I'll give Troy a call when I'm on the road and plan on being at the race around 7.

I think we can find out the ride arrangements when we meet up and see what everyone is planning to do.

I'm heading out this evening and will stay at a cheap hotel in Wilcox. With the new puppy, that's the only way I will get more then 3 hours sleep. One person or couple is/are welcome to join me as the hotel has two queen beds. I'm heading out of town this evening sometime between 5 and 8pm.
Now I need to take a nap to recover from this mornings shoot-out.

All,

My first Mapquest query must have pegged something North of Safford. Spoke with Rich G the other day, he said about 1.5 Hrs driving time. Re-checked Mapquest with the Rt 366 intersection:
Total Estimated Time: 1 hour 40 minutes Total Estimated Distance: 111.92 miles
We could pull out of Frys about 0500 or 0445, should get us there with more than an hour to go-time.
Whatcha think?
Who's going to be at Frys tomorrow AM?

Hey wayne,
Tell Laura THANK YOU very much for all of the support she gave to the team during the hillclimb. The encouragement was awesome, when all I wanted to do was quit. Im sure everyone that rode that monster felt that way at one time or another!!! It was really nice to have someone rooting for us and knowing that her and the girls could be right around the next corner willing to give any support they could! I love the fact we have people like this associated with this club!!
